Expanding on-premise capabilities with our new agent

On-premise solutions remain crucial for many organizations.
The seismic shift from on-premise to the cloud has transformed many organizations, breaking down barriers, increasing scale, cutting costs, and sparking innovation in a host of industries that had remained stagnant for decades. For example, Telehealth, especially during COVID-19, ensured non-emergency care was still available.
In the enterprise market, certain areas like collaboration applications, customer relationship management (CRM), and human resources have much higher cloud penetration. Still, not all parts of the software industry have been so quick to ride the cloud wave. The ERP market, for example, is still heavily focused on on-premise deployments. In a 2023 ERP market report, Gartner found that 40% of revenue came from on-premises offerings and 60% from cloud offerings and forecasted a split of approximately 25% on-premises and 75% cloud by 2027. Even with the market predicted to shrink, 25% of a 43 billion-dollar industry is still significant.
Why some organizations still rely on on-premise deployments
Despite the widespread adoption of cloud solutions, many organizations stick with on-premise solutions for good reasons:
Stringent data security and compliance needs, especially in highly regulated industries like healthcare and finance
Existing investments in legacy systems
The need for control over performance and infrastructure
Recognizing these needs, we’ve expanded our on-premise capabilities to better serve our customers who depend on these solutions.
