Promenade to Production: An Evening Exploring AI in the Enterprise

Join the Tray.ai team at No.131 on The Promenade in Cheltenham for a hands-on evening on MCP and Agent Gateway — govern AI-to-enterprise connectivity, then build your own composite MCP tools. Small group, limited seats.

Industry event ·5:00 PM BST ·Cheltenham, UK

Every enterprise is working out how AI connects to its data. Almost none have worked out how to govern and scale it.

Join the Tray.ai team at No.131 on The Promenade for an evening exploring MCP — the protocol fast becoming the standard for AI-to-enterprise connectivity — and how Tray.ai’s Agent Gateway puts security, visibility, and governance at the heart of it. No token sprawl. No shadow AI. Just a clear route from promenade to production.

This is a small-group, hands-on networking evening — up to 20 guests. Bring your laptop if you can: you’ll build your own composite MCP tools via Agent Gateway. It’s encouraged, not mandatory.

Why this matters

Most enterprises have already let MCP in. They just haven’t noticed yet.

A few teams stood up servers to unblock themselves. Engineers connected tools because the protocol made it easy. Six months later, IT has no inventory of what’s running, security has no audit trail, and finance is staring at a token bill with no clear owner. The protocol isn’t the problem. The rollout pattern is.

Agent Gateway puts a single governed control plane between your LLMs and every enterprise system — so AI adoption moves fast without the exposure that usually comes with it. This evening is a chance to see it working, and to build with it yourself.

What you’ll walk away with

  • A clear picture of where your MCP rollout actually sits. The six-stage shadow MCP journey is a diagnostic most teams haven’t seen. You’ll know which stage you’re at — and what the next move looks like.
  • A live demo of Agent Gateway in action. Permission scoping, audit logging, 700+ connectors. The governance layer that stays as the platform, not the LLM.
  • A composite MCP tool you built yourself. The hands-on lab is the part most attendees say they’ll carry back. Configure your MCP client, connect to Agent Gateway, and build something real in 60 minutes.
  • Sandbox access after the event. Every attendee leaves with access to keep building. The lab doesn’t have to stop at 7:30.
  • A small room of people working on the same problem. Twenty seats, no vendor theatre, plenty of time to compare notes with peers doing the same work.

This session is for you if:

  • You’re an IT, platform, or architecture leader working out how to govern AI-to-enterprise connectivity
  • Your teams have already started experimenting with MCP — and you’re not sure what they’ve connected
  • You’re evaluating Agent Gateway or want to see it in practice before recommending it internally
  • You want to get hands-on with the build, not just watch a demo
  • You’re based in or near Cheltenham and want to spend an evening on this with people who are solving the same problems

Common questions

Is this free to attend? Yes. Drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and the hands-on lab are all included. Just register to secure your spot — seats are capped at 20.

Do I need to bring a laptop? Encouraged, not required. If you bring one, you’ll be able to build and invoke your own composite MCP tool during the lab. No laptop? Pair up with someone or follow along on the big screen — you’ll still get the full walkthrough.

What’s the format — is this a sales pitch? An hour of structured content (the Agent Gateway talk and demo), an hour of hands-on building, and the rest of the evening for conversation. We’ll show Tray’s platform because it’s what we built for this. The governance framing and the architecture patterns are useful whether you ever buy from us or not.

I can’t make it this time — will there be other events? We’re running more evenings across the UK and Europe later this year. Drop your details on the registration page and we’ll keep you posted on upcoming dates.

Who else will be in the room? IT and platform leaders, architects, and engineers — mostly from mid-to-large enterprises working out their AI connectivity story. Small group by design so the conversation stays substantive.
