Tray pricing is based on usage. Integrations, automations, apps and MCP tools are measured in Tasks and Helix Compute Units (HCUs). There are no per-user or per-connection fees, and no runtimes to buy and install, so cost follows what you run, not how many people or systems you connect. Commit to an annual volume for a fixed annual cost, and larger volumes get preferential pricing.

A Task is Tray's unit of usage: one operation Tray performs on a piece of your data. The trigger firing is one Task, and so is each connector or service step and each pass through a loop or boolean. Think of a Task as one step in a workflow. A Task is not an API call, so a connector step that makes several API calls still counts as one Task. Retries are not charged.

An HCU, or Helix Compute Unit, is the single unit for everything an app uses when it runs: deploy, compute, database, storage, data delivery, and requests. Everything draws from one balance and shows as one number on the bill, so there is no separate charge for hosting, a database or storage.

You know your annual cost when you sign. Usage dashboards show your Task and HCU usage, and you can set monthly limits. If your usage grows past your plan, the difference is settled at a true-up, and larger volumes get preferential pricing. A free trial shows how much you will use before you buy. Adding users or connections does not change the price.
