The real difference

Jitterbit sells iPaaS, EDI, API management, MCP and a low-code app builder as named products under its Harmony platform. Part of that line came through acquisition: eBridge Connections in 2021 for EDI, and Zudy in 2023, whose Vinyl platform became Jitterbit’s low-code app builder. Jitterbit describes the result as “a unified AI-infused low-code platform”, and it has been adding AI quickly: agents built in Jitterbit Studio, prebuilt agents in its Marketplace, and an MCP gateway announced in May 2026.

So the comparison isn’t whether Jitterbit has AI. It’s how far the agent layer goes. Tray.ai’s agents share Smart Data Sources through Agent Hub, so one master agent can coordinate sub-agents across departments, and Dynamic Authentication carries each user’s own permissions into MCP. Jitterbit’s platform page doesn’t describe multi-agent coordination.

Where Jitterbit wins

EDI, first and plainly. Jitterbit EDI handles trading-partner document exchange, and the eBridge acquisition brought connections to large retailers: Jitterbit’s own announcement names Costco, Best Buy, Target, Walmart and Home Depot.
